“One of Us”

April 12, 2007 – 7:31 pm

Sawyer: What’s she doing here?
Juliet: Don’t fear me, I am one of you.
Austin Powers: Ahhh, Juliet… Nice to mole you… meet you. Nice to meet you, Mole.
Jack: She is not a mole, she is “one of us.”
Austin Powers: Mole. Bloody mole. We aren’t supposed to talk about the bloody mole, but there’s a bloody mole winking me in the face. I want to c-u-u-t it off, ch-o-o-p it off, and make guacamole.

  2. Ok people, to me this episode eliminated the theory that Dharma made these people and put them on a plane and gave them their own memories. I think this because we FINALLY saw the outside world in a near current time, not as in a flashback of the survivors or Juliet. Also, I know some people think that Ben and Mikhail made that tape of Juliets sister, but think, the Others have contact to the outside world and could just have live video feed. Ben could’ve told Richard to find this woman, follow her somewhere public and secretly film her. That’s what I think.

  3. Yeah… Seems to me that getting on/off the island was fairly “easy”.
If the sub was the only way though, they’re seriously f’ed…
And I really hope Jack is right about Juliet. I mean – I want her to be one of the good ones, not a backstabbing doublecrossing bitch.. I like Juliet. Sigh..

  4. I don’t think they use the sub to get to the island. It’s just a way for Ben to control the new arrivals. Why would Julliet be tranquilised and tied to the bed if they came on the sub? It seems to me that a ride on a submarine is quiet and boring, and would only be dangerous if they would be hunted by other submarines. So maybe there’s a black hole or plane or some other way they get on the island. Maybe they even use the mysterious box?

  5. Yeah, er.. The first thing that came to my mind was that they flew to a sort of nearby (in relative, pacific terms :) island and then took the sub from there.
Reasons why I think that, is 1) I’ve yet to see an airport or airstrip on “the Island” and I’m kinda guessing someone would hear if a plane took off and 2) We’ve already seen the sub.

However.. I do think you’re onto something, Bas. I definately think you’re right about Ben, he’s a cynical manipulator and I think there are more ways to get off the Island, only Ben won’t tell anyone about it.

  6. The sub just looked way to fake to me. It looked like a toy, or a theme park attraction, but not a weathered and used submarine..

And what do you guys think will happen in a week (Lost time)? What do the Losties have that Ben needs? Why doesn’t he just go and talk to them like he did with Jack? And who’s cooperating with Julliet, who did she look at at the end of the episode? SO MANY QUESTIONS! ^^

  7. Ethan told Juliette that the trip can be intense. Remember in TMFT Ben told Richard to go get the man from Tallahassee. Then only hours later Locke’s father is on the Island. How did they get there so fast? I mean the island is in the middle of the ocean…….Did anyone notice Juliette twist the rope into a number 8 before tying a knot on her shelter at the very end of the episode?
